How to Generate SSL Certificate Signing Requests (CSR) on your cPanel Hosting Account
A Certificate Signing Request (CSR) is a file containing essential details to request a digital certificate from a Certificate Authority (CA).
Follow these steps in this article to generate a self-signed SSL certificate for a domain using cPanel
- Login to your cPanel account.
- Navigate to "Security" section and click on "SSL/TLS".
- Click on “Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests.
- Fill in the CSR Details.
- Click on the “Generate” button to create the CSR.
- Save the CSR text in a secure location, as you will need it for the SSL certificate application.
